How we make money

There's no fee to search this site. Tap Get Quotes and the request goes to an outside matching partner, not to us. That partner pays us if your request turns into a lead worth working; no contractor pays us, ever, for a spot in the directory, and no business can buy a better position either. Most cities here list businesses lifted straight from a state's license file, never bought. In a city this site hasn't matched to a license file yet, the listing instead shows the top-rated businesses Google Maps turns up for that search, ranked by rating and review count, also never bought. One thing worth knowing either way: the crew a partner lines up for you afterward isn't guaranteed to be the specific business named on the page you started from.

Our revenue comes only from the matching partners behind the Get Quotes button. When a request submitted through that button turns into a lead a partner can work, the partner pays us a referral fee. A listed business pays nothing for that, and pays nothing to appear here at all.

A license listing is never a paid placement, and neither is a spot on a top-rated list. If a sponsored slot ever appears on this site, it will say so, so it's never confused with a record pulled from a state file or a ranking pulled from Google Maps.

The quote button

Pages with listings also carry a quote button. It opens a quote request run by our matching partners, not by the businesses listed on the page. When you ask for quotes through it, a partner may pay us. That is how we pay for running this site.

The partner decides which companies to match you with, so the companies that contact you may not be the ones listed on the page you came from. Before you hire anyone, check their license the same way you would check a listed business.

What it costs you

Using Shower Remodelers costs homeowners nothing. You don't pay us for listings, lookups or quote requests.

What money doesn't change

• Listings come from state license records or, on top-rated lists, from Google Maps ratings. No business pays to be listed, to be left off, or for its position.
• License listings are sorted alphabetically. Top-rated lists are ranked only by Google rating and review count.
• There are no paid placements today. If we add any, they will be marked Sponsored.
• Verify license links go only to the state's license registry, never to a partner.

How to tell the links apart

Quote buttons always sit in a box with the disclosure above, and they are marked as sponsored links in the page code (rel="sponsored"). Every other outbound link on the site goes to an official license record, a business's Google Maps listing, or a source we cite.
